Roaming through musical history
We will be going “Outside” with music in which Nature roams.
With a beautiful song about cockroaches, a view on camels and with a lot of birds: we explore the Birds & the Bees (in an informative talk by comedian Yogi Yorgesson, but also in a charming love song by 1920s baritone “Whispering” Jack Smith).
Jules de Corte throws light on the political imbalances in the world of birds, and canaries are given shape by “accordéoniste virtuose” Adolphe DePrince and violinist Alfredo Campoli. There is also a specimen with bags under the eyes due to frequent “makin’ whoopee”.
We have a critical view of all the nudity in nature by Poody & The Roaring Seven, with the composition “Nature Boy” as the common thread.
And then there is Corry Brokken, Anne Shelton with Ambrose’s band, Cliff Richard, Jan de Vries with Dick Willebrandts’ orchestra and Wim Sonneveld.
Basically, this is an episode of the Palace to stay at home for!
