The Source of Sound involves the material, the movement and the vibration of which music arises.
The Source of Sound 44 – The bending of notes
Notes move and ascend and descend in pitch. The fixed and in tune pitch which is educated in our music schools is an illusion. In South East Asia, a region of tonal languages, the bending of sounds has been developed strongly and instruments, free reed instruments, speak and fuse together with vocals through sound bending as you can hear in the Source of Sound. The tracks comes from VCD’s, in itself a medium of technological retrogression and loss of quality, but it also made it possible for this music to survive in the karaoke tsunami of the beginning of this century.
