A docudrama about one of the most prominent and independent composers of the 20th century.

In ‘Prokofiev: modernist on his own terms’, every fortnight an hour-long feature on the life and work of the Russian 20th century composer Sergei Prokofiev, who was undoubtedly one of the greatest composers of the 20th century. Prokofiev’s first months in the US (autumn 1919) were not easy. He gave some concerts, and performed better in Chicago than in NY. In New York, he also ran into a number of former Jewish-Russian musicians who asked him to put something on paper.
