A docudrama about one of the most prominent and independent composers of the 20th century.
Every fortnight, “The Wayward Prokofiev” dedicates one hour to the life and works of the Russian 20th-century composer Sergei Prokofiev, undoubtedly one of the greatest composers of the 20th century.
On today’s broadcast: a suite derived from his first successful opera ‘The Player’, and a very bizarre ballet that comes with a remarkable story. It would be his final ballet, which was probably for the best!
