In Memoriam Robert Ashley
American composer Robert Ashley is one of the most prominent opera innovators of the twentieth century. Groundbreaking music theatre filled with surrealistic witticisms à la David Lynch, enigmatic poetry, video experiments and charming music. Ashley passed away in early March at the age of 83.
