New music, recently released.
A new album by extremely productive songwriter Jörg Widman and one by the relatively unknown George Walker.
It is curious that George Walker is so unknown, when he can be compared to such artists as Aaron Copland and Elliott Carter. Walker’s centenary in 2022 was probably the reason for this album release.
