Vocal trio Dave Lambert (1917-1966), John Hendricks (1921) and Annie Ross (1930) focused on the style of ‘jazz vocalise’. Using their voices, they sang musical tracks consisting of lyrics they made up themselves.
Recordings with tenor player Zoot Sims, and with Count Basie’s band.
