Mel Tormé (1925-1999). He started as a drummer but fairly quickly chose to start singing and was quite successful from the 1950s onwards. Starting in 1955, he recorded excellent albums together with pianist and arranger Marty Paich. Today a broad selection: Mel Tormé with the Marty Paich Dek-tette.
