Jack Teagarden (1905-1964) is better known for playing the trombone than for his singing. But he has been credited for many vocal contributions, in which his typically Texan singing can be heard. We play a selection of this work, including his favourite songs: ‘Basin Street Blues’, ‘St.James Infirmary’ and ‘Stars Fell On Alabama’.
