Rosemary Clooney (1928 – 2002) started her singing career together with her sister as the Clooney Sisters. They sang with the Tony Pastor orchestra, but in 1949 she went solo. Rosemary Clooney had several hits, made many albums but stopped performing for more than ten years in 1965. In 1977 she made her come-back as a jazz vocalist. Numerous albums appeared on the Concord label,where she was often accompanied by excellent jazz musicians.
