Featuring Billie Holiday, Pete Seeger, Harry Belafonte, and Al Jolson. Hava Nagila (literally Let Us Shout for Joy) is a Jewish folk song. It is traditionally sung at celebrations such as weddings, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, and other Jewish holidays within the Jewish community. Written in 1918, it spread quickly throughout the Jewish diaspora. The melody is based on a Hasidic nigun, with a rhythm similar to Galop Infernal by Prussian-French composer Jacques Offenbach from his 1858 opera Orpheus in the Underworld. It was composed in 1918 to commemorate the Balfour Declaration and the British victory over the Ottoman Empire in 1917. It was premiered at a mixed choir concert in Jerusalem.

The Dutch music group Trio C tot de derde consists of the three musicians Carel den Hertog (violin), Coos Lettink (accordion) and Caspar Terra (clarinet). The music they play is inspired by klezmer, Balkan music and gypsy music. They create their own unique sound and play traditional melodies in a special and often unexpected way. While improvising, they play not only with each other, but also to each other, playfully challenging and seducing each other musically to virtuosity and lyrical playing. Their music expresses both euphoric joy and intense sadness, and thus lends itself to dancing, but also to dreaming.
