Arabic Minerals: from Sanaa to Marrakesh.

We will be making a musical journey from Sanaa (the capital of Jemen) to Marrakesh (the hearth of Morocco) and because we only have an hour we will take the motorway of pop music. We will start in Jemen with the talented singer and ‘ud player Ahmad Fathi, and stop for a moment in Egypt for the music of the popular Nubian singer Mohamed Mounir. We will listen for a moment to some popular Tunisian tunes, and before we cross the borders of Morocco we will of course go to an Algerian Gasba. We arrive late in Morocco: a song or two and the day is done!
