They are to be found in the collections of semi-public organisations and collections of associations and private individuals. Since the nineties, most groups started producing their own CDs. The soul of Simits (Turkish bagel) is formed by Pinar Türker and Max Silverenberg. Simits brings Turkish songs covered with a modern gravy.
Jeunes Turcs (young Turks) has been established in Utrecht, the Netherlands, in 1993. The group, which evolves around the two Turkish brothers Volkan and Hakan Korkmaz, makes modern dance with Turkish influences. Most important facts: having a number one hit in Turkey (with singer Ellen ten Damme) and  Katja and Birgit Schuurman were once a member of the group.
Leylim was founded in 1982, it evolved around Ceylan Utlu, teacher and co-ordinator of Turkish  music at the world music school in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Starting point is the repertoire of Turkish folk music and the added elements of western-classical music and jazz.
Topkapi, which is named after the palace of the sultan of Istanbul was established in 1989. The group performed mostly at weddings, parties and events with a repertoire of folk music and pop music to classical Turkish music.
The multi-cultural band Dilan, which evolves around the Turkish singer and saz-player Dilaver Goktas was founded in Den Bosch, the Netherlands, in 1990. The other members have a rock background, which is to be heard in their music.
