Tranquil sounds of South Indian raga music on the violin, and festive gypsy music from Northwest Turkey.
One of the most talented young violin players in Carnatic music, that is in South Indian raga music, is Charumathi Raghuraman. She was born in Mumbai in 1987. Her great musicality was soon discovered and she was taught by the legendary violinist T.N. Krishnan from a young age. She accompanies the best vocalists of the Carnatic raga music because of her excellent playing, and she is also impressing playing concerts as a soloist.
We will listen to Charumathi Raghuraman playing three beautiful solos.
