Rodrigo Costa Félix has released his third CD called Tempo, on which he used authentic and characteristic instruments. You will hear Henrique Leitão play the Portuguese guitar, Miguel Ramos the fado and Jon Luz the cavaquinho. Furthermore, the CD features Paulo Paz on double bass, Tiago Machado on piano and Pedro Jóia on acoustic guitar. Rodrigo wrote about half of the twelve songs, including the beautiful Nāo Digas Nada, which we will play after the song Sangue Frio.

Sam Mangwana was born in Kinshasa, the capital of Congo, to parents of Angolan descent. At the age of 75, he has had an eventful career during which he has performed with celebrities like Franco Luambo (TPOK Jazz) and Tuba Ley.
Mangwana plays the Congolese rumba, and he does so on the album Lubamba with his incredible band of wind players, African guitar players and percussionists and his own relaxing voice.

Okan is a Canadian/Afro/Cuban jazz group lead by two women, Elizabeth Rodriguez and Magdelys Savigne. They mix Afro-Cuban roots with jazz and folk in songs about immigration, courage and love.
Their second album called Espiral is out now.

The duo Fadopelos2, consists of Iris Feijen (vocals) and Tiago Legeira (guitar). They won the Dutch singing competition. We Want More in August, playing their fado song Sei Um Rio. When she was 13 years old, Iris Feijen heard music by Mariza. That was when she knew she wanted to be a fado singer. After years of singing lessons and studying music, she did it; successfully. There are plans for a musical theatre programma in the Netherlands, but the premiere date keeps being postponed because of the pandemic. Keep checking their website: www.fadopelos2.com.

Mikis Theodorakis is a historical figure and was politically active in his battle against the cruel colonial regime in Greece for years. He was imprisoned, tortured and banished. Once he was finally back in Greece, he achieved worldwide fame because of his music for Sorba The Greek.
