TRACK 1 • Justyna Banaszczyk — working as FOQL — is a sound artist and composer from Lódz, whose practice spans experimental music, sound art, and radiophonic forms. She co-runs the label Pointless Geometry and is a co-founder of Radio Kapital, a community station that has for years served as an incubator for non-commercial sound and audio practices in Poland. Her work continually crosses genre boundaries: from electronics and noise, through sound art, to radio drama and sound poetry. She has performed at leading experimental music festivals such as Unsound and Warsaw Autumn. https://soundsfoolish.com/ • At the end of 2025, her latest album "Bug Poems" was released — a work deeply rooted in the tradition of radiophonic sound art. It is a densely woven audio narrative in which voice becomes simultaneously instrument, material, and story. The material circles around themes of foreignness and fear — those felt toward the world of insects, but also more intimate, inward ones. The insect figures here as a metaphor — something foreign, not understood, yet fascinating. "Bug Poems" edges close to audio poetry and experimental radio drama, weaving spoken word with electronics into a form that works equally well through a radio speaker as through headphones. The album grows out of years of exploration into the radio-drama form — a reflection on what radio was, what it has stopped being, and what it might become. FOQL is interested in the space after radio: what remains of its intimacy and ephemerality once the institution disappears or dissolves into the stream. She treats the radio drama not as an archival genre, but as a living possibility — a form still waiting for its new languages. "Bug Poems" has so far been presented in various forms at the Muzeum Sztuki in Lódz, Teatr Komuna Warszawa, and the Cricoteka in Kraków, as well as in the open-air space of BarKa/Playground by the Vistula as part of the "Girls with Recorders" series. On the occasion of August Celestial Events and the composer's birthday. Anna Stereopoulou specialises in the field of Music Composition for Film & TV, whilst since 2017, she has been introducing a special form of live presentations, described as Cymatic Environment© (SYN and PLANO projects) and inspired by her Art & Science research. She has also composed music for the Theatre, Dance, Installations, Radio, Music Ensembles and Orchestra, and has presented her art in cultural venues and archaeological sites. Since 2006, she has occasionally been presenting her FEELMUSIC seminar series, whilst she has worked as an Advisor/Programmer in Music & Film Festivals (Italy, France) and has developed her work through a wide range of collaborations, through her activity in the field of Culture, Education, Journalism and Tourism, and as a member of female:pressure network.
