Singer Joe Williams (1918-1999). He started in several night clubs in Chicago and from then on his singing included with the band of Lionel Hampton. He experienced his breakthrough as regular singer of Count Basie. We will hear Williams with the full band and with a Basie quartet. Recordings from 1956 and 1958.
