As part of her European Farewell Tour, Emmylou Harris is saying goodbye to her fans in the Netherlands this month. Roots & Routes (a programme featuring the highways and byways of American Roots Music) on Friday 15 May at 19:00 CET is therefore entirely dedicated to the 15-time Grammy winner.
Her music is influenced by folk, bluegrass, gospel, rock and country. In the Netherlands, Emmylou Harris is primarily known for a few major hits, but in Roots & Routes, you will hear more than just the usual suspects. You will hear her live and in the studio, in duets with Gram Parsons, Ricky Skagg, Neil Young and others, singing covers of songs by Townes Van Zandt and Rodney Crowell, and with her own songs.
