Chick Corea, the American pianist and composer, has agreed to take part in the project #90seconds by the Matangi Quartet. Inspired by the novel Melodieën by Helmut Krausser, in which a quest took place to find 26 lost and mysterious melodies with mysterious healing powers, the string quartet has asked composers world wide to write a 90 second healing piece for them. Names such as Kate Moore, Jonathan Dove, Pawel Szymanski, Joey Roukens, Iris Hond, Jacob ter Veldhuis and Javier Alvarez are also taking part. Every week two new works will be presented. Chick Corea’s Lyric Waltz will be presented on Saturday 18th July at 20.00 on the website and the social media-channels of the Matangi Quartet.
