An Early Evening Stroll on Tuesday 4 January at 19:00 CET is with the unconventional thinker Debussy. The programme starts with a brief sketch of his background and upbringing that provides a guide-book to his highly original and earth-shattering Preludes for piano. This work revealed new paths for younger colleagues such as Bartók and Prokofiev, as well as for jazz pianist Bill Evans.
