Friday 15th May at 21:00 Daisy Correia is our guest in Acoustic Roots. With her Portuguese mother and Dutch father Daisy has always spoken 2 languages. She fell in love with the fado during a fado concert in Portugal.
During her performance in Acoustic Roots she'll be accompanied by Joeri de Graaf (acoustic guitar) and Sander Tijburg (Portugese guitar).
In 2006 and 2007 Daisy recorded her first demo with her own material. Live in Portugal. She decided that fado was her world. Theatre concerts with the Dutch resident, Portugese singer Fernando Lameirinhas (Fado Blue and Saudade do Futuro) reinforced her decision. In 2009 she released her debut album, recorded in Portugal : Este meu fado (this is mijn fado).
Daisy will start her new tour in October Uma casa Portuguesa, in which she'll pay homage to Amália Rodrigues. She'll be telling Amália's life story and singing the accompanying songs from this legendary fado singer.
