The next episode of Difficult Student on Tuesday 1 February at 20:00 CET looks at Beethoven the apprentice. Haydn takes his student Beethoven to the Esterházy Palace in Eisenstadt, where he is busy composing and rehearsing symphonies and string quartets for his second visit to London. Beethoven absorbs all that he sees and hears while he is there. The plan at that time was still that Beethoven would accompany Haydn on his trip.
