The 67-year-old Ukrainian composer/pianist Lubomyr Melnyk is performing on December 11 in Tivoli/Vredenburg. X-Rated on Sunday 4 December 21:00 CET is giving away tickets for the concert.
Lubomyr Melnyk wants his minimal-meditative melodies to be a balsam for the soul of modern people. Melnyk calls his style ‘continuous music’, a perfect description for the trance-inducing stream of arpeggios that flow at great speed from his fingers. Think Chopin, but also Nils Frahm.
