The programme includes music by Leopold Godowsky, Andry Schulz-Evler, Franz Liszt and Sergei Rachmaninov.
We will be listening to his transcriptions by Schulz-Ever of the waltzes by Johann Strauss, the music by Van Godowsky was inspired by the songs of Richard Strauss and the piece by Liszt refers to Schubert’s Erlkönig.
Rachmaninov plays his own transciption of a piece by Bach.
