We’re off! The first edition of our Pocket Concerts with Injazz and the Dutch Jazz Archive is on our World of Jazz YouTube channel. Guitarist Anton Goudsmit and bassist Jasper Somsen kick off.
It was an honor to welcome these two great jazz musicians. Anton Goudsmit, guitarist and composer, winner of the Boy Edgar Prize, and a creative force in the jazz scene for almost 30 years, and Jasper Somsen, one of the most recorded jazz bassists of the decade in Europe.
Their musical collaboration goes back to 1994, when they played together in Eric Vloeiman’s band. In 2014 they started performing as a duo, which resulted in the live album Jasper Somsen invites Anton Goudsmit (Challenge Records) in early 2025.
