Concertzender Live

Compiled by our Classical Music desk. In this broadcast modern classical music of 20th-century composers from the Concertzender-Live Archive.

Today, two concert recordings of, on the one hand, the Ives Ensemble in the IJsbreker venue in Amsterdam in 1991 and, on the other, the Ebony Band in the Felix Merites venue (also in Amsterdam) in 2002.

In the first concert you will hear music of American 20th-century composers, but also a composition of the Dutch composer Louis Andriessen. In the second concert, the Ebony Band will play works by unknown composers from the early 20th century.

In this broadcast we will hear compositions of Morton Feldman, John Cage, Christian Wolff, Earl Brown, Louis Andriessen, Ernst Toch and Alban Berg.
