Western religious music from different centuries. Today: music from the 17th century, composed for Italian convents.

From 1 to 8 October 2020, Ton Koopman will give a few concerts with his Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra and the Nationaal Vrouwen Jeugdkoor (Netherlands Female Youth Choir) in the  Netherlands. They will play music from the 17th century, written by nuns, and intended to be performed in convents.

In this broadcast, you hear several compositions of the two female composers whose work will be played on the coming concerts. Some of these compositions will also be performed during the concerts.
