Contemporary Music talks in this monthly episode about de current generation of composers that are active in the Netherlands. By doing this we create a canon of the latest Dutch music. Central in today’s episode is the Iranian composer Aftab Darvishi.
Who is influenced by whom? What are important musical inspiration sources? And what motivates them? We broadcast recent works by them, but also ask them about their key works that they love or that were important in their development. Finally we ask the composer to play the work of a colleague for the next programme in this series. By doing this we create a canon of the newest Dutch music.
