Klimperei.
Special about the French band Klimperei. In 1985 Klimperei was created as a cooperation between Francoise and Christophe Petchanatz. Both musicians also worked under the name Deleted. In POP ART of 13 April recordings of this cooperative project. In this hour a view of almost twenty five years of Klimperei.
They have been operating as a duo since 1985 but after 2002 Christophe Petchanatz has presented Klimperei as a solo project and incidentally works together with guest musicians. The music of Klimperei can be described as toy music from a childlike perspective with a neo classical sub-harmonic. Words like naive, avant-garde, minimal and neo classical are certainly applicable. The instruments primarily exist of piano and guitar in addition to which all kind of ‘toy’ instruments like finger paint give colour to the compositions. In December 2008 Klimperei climbed a Dutch stage together with Mme Patate for the first time. In the Netherlands Klimperei is definitely one of those quite new pearls in music. High time to give the music of Klimperei a stage on Dutch radio as well. http://klimperei.free.fr
