The only composer of repute from Liechtenstein, Josef Rheinberger, has written about five-hundred pieces. He didn’t skip one single genre. He mastered composing down to the last detail but also had a lack of inspiration from time to time, which is understandable.
When you hear such a ‘good written bad piece of music’ by coincidence, the poor Rheinberger gets immediately written off and added to the worthless voluminous writers category. But if you are willing to search, it turns out that he did indeed write beautiful, compelling music.
