The lush forces of nature are a big source of inspiration for the Australian/Dutch composer Kate Moore (1979). In her compositions pure music theory and graceful organic forms collide. Music that refers to the minimal but also rock-like muscle dynamics of Louis Andriessen. During the upcoming November Music Festival in Den Bosch (the Netherlands) Kate Moore will be the central composer and her full evening’s piano performance ‘Dances & Canons’ will have its premiere (Saturday 8 November) featuring pianist Saskia Lankhoorn.
