Een zondags programma in de 'barokke geest'. Rondom de onlangs uitgebrachte CD 'English Royal Funeral Music', met koninklijke begrafenismuziek van Purcell, Morley en Tomkins, door Vox Luminis olv. Lionel Meunier. (Dit is een herhaling van 19 mei 2013.) • Er is nu pas bekend dat de 3 Funeral Sentences van Purcell niet gecomponeerd waren voor de begrafenis van Koningin Mary in 1695, omdat de zettingen van Morley toen gezongen werden. Het enige aandeel van Purcell waren de 2 werken voor schuiftrompet alsook het anthem "Thou knowest, Lord", dat Purcell schreef in Morley's oude componeerstijl. De muziek op deze CD wordt omlijst door Engelse consortsongs door Michael Chance met Fretwork en Christopher Field met The Royal Wind Music, en Fantazia's van Purcell door Vittorio Ghielmi. 1.
