Een zondags programma in de 'barokke geest'. Satyr's Musicke, gouden tijden voor de Engelse instrumentale muziek tijdens de Commonwealth en de Restoration. Engeland, begin 17e eeuw. In de tijd van de Commonwealth onder Cromwell, van 1649 tot 1660, stond het publieke muzikale leven op een laag pitje. Echter in huiselijke kring klonk veel muziek, waren het gouden tijden voor muziekpublicaties en hield de traditie stand van de Engelse Masque, de intieme theatermuziek. Er werd veel geïmproviseerd op muziek uit allerlei oude en nieuwe bronnen, en er werd veel gedanst. In 1660 wilde de bevolking hun monarchie terug; dit mondde uit in de Restoration. Het openbare muziekleven herleefde, en vooral de operahuizen beleefden gouden tijden. Drie bijzondere ensembles laten deze gouden tijden van de instrumentale muziek herleven: Satyr's Band, het Finse barokensemble Battalia en La Beata Olanda. Engelse Masque-dansen uit de 17e eeuw.
