Utrecht composer Willem Wander van Nieuwkerk is organising a concert at the Geertekerk in Utrecht on November 9 2025, starting at 15h. Admission is free, and the Concertzender will be recording it! Reserve your tickets by sending an email to ww@vannieuwkerk.info.
To celebrate his 70th birthday, Willem Wander van Nieuwkerk has invited top musicians to perform several of his works.
Firstly, the world premiere of A Pilgrim’s Progress by pianist Thomas Beijer. He has already performed the first two movements. A third movement will be added on November 9th.
You can then listen to Thomas with Noa Wildschut on violin performing the Deep River Sonata.
Finally, Thomas and Noa will perform the long-unheard T’Andernaken Piano Quintet with Mascha van Nieuwkerk (cello), Margot Kolodziej (violin) and Mara Tieles (viola).
