On Sunday 5 July 12:00 CET you can listen to part 16 of the series An Ox on the Roof by Thea Derks. The series is based on her book Een os op het dak: moderne muziek na 1900 in vogelvlucht.
Although the measures to combat the Corona crisis are being relaxed in the Netherlands, they are still imposing major restrictions on the cultural sector. Social distancing means that concert halls can only accomodate a fraction of the usual audience, even though there are no longer any limits on the number of passengers in the aeroplances that are again flying to holiday destinations. Hopefully the government will soon realise that this situation cannot continue and will also remove these remaining restrictions. In the meantime, despite all of this, the music world is still active.
