Jean Cras (1879-1932) was a man who was full of contradictions. Learn more by listening to our programme about this intriguing sailor, composer and inventor of nautical instruments.

Jean Cras had a distinguished career in the French navy but is also remembered for composing music that has been compared to Duparc, Debussy and Ravel. In addition he also found time to invent a number of nautical instruments.
