Bach’s Easter Cantatas by Harnoncourt

In Documento on Monday 28 March, Easter Monday at 19.00 CET,  you can listen to some of the Easter Cantatas by Johann Sebastian Bach performed by Nikolaus Harnoncourt (1929-2016).

The programme includes a recording from 1971 of the cantata “Christ lag in Todes Banden” BWV 4, for Easter Sunday and cantata “Bleib bei uns, denn es will Abend werden” BWV 6, for Easter Monday.
Bach also wrote cantatas, for Easter Tuesday and one of those “Ich lebe, mein Herze, zu deinem Ergötzen” BWV 145, can also be heard in the programme.
