On Sunday 27th December at 15.00 we're broadcasting an extra edition of Concertzender Live with a performance of "Kerstspel" (Christmas Play), by the Nieuw Amsterdams Kinderkoor and the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra conducted by Ton Koopman.
Christmas Play is an enchanting musical theatre piece in which all 300 students from the Nieuw Amsterdams Kinderkoor (New Amsterdam Children's Choir) (4 to 21 years old) sing and play.
The atmospheric historical Dutch Christmas music will be performed in arrangements by the famous conductor Ton Koopman.
There is a special part for Dieuwertje Blok, who as the older Maria looks back on the extraordinary events of her life.
