In Henk van Zonneveld's living room Marjon Strijk will sing Bach cantata BWV 84 "Ich bin vergnügt mit meinem Glücke" , preceded by aria's from cantates BWV 32 and 127 and two organ works by Bach. Marjon Strijk will be accompanied by cellist Frank Wakelkamp and organist Henk van Zonneveld ( already a guest in Café Zimmermann).
Marjon Strijk
Soprano Marjon Strijk has sung a lot of Bach in her career. She has sung on cd-boxes of the complete religious cantatas by Johann Sebastian Bach, she's recorded cd’s with Bach´s St John's and St Matthew Passions and is a permanent member of the (soloists) ensemble of the Nederlandse Bachvereniging conducted by Jos van Veldhoven.
Her repertoire covers many style periods: from Schütz and Buxtehude to Bach and Händel via Haydn and Mozart to Schubert and Brahms, as well as present day music. Marjon has sung as soloist with conductors such as Jos van Veldhoven, Peter Dijkstra, Harry van der Kamp, Peter Harvey and Klaas Stok and is a member of the vocal ensemble Quink.
Govert Jan Bach, compiler of the programme Bach ad Infinitum, will discuss with the performers what makes J.S.Bach's music so special, and in particular his cantata nr. 84.
Marjon Strijk will also sing cantata nr. 84 from 16th to 18th oktober with the Margaretha Consort.

Open from 20.00, you need to be there by 20.15 at the latest.
