On Sunday 18th December in Utrecht Cappella Pratensis played a Christmas programme with polyphony ‘ around the manger’ by Josquin Desprez.
In this programme ‘Christmas with Josquin in Ferrara’ Cappella Pratensis played music by Josquin Desprez connected with Christmas celebrations in Ferrara.
It’s a musical in three parts begining with the Annunciation by the angel Gabriel to the Virgin Mary, continues onto Christmas night itself, about the mystery of the birth of Jesus, until the Circumcision on 1st January.
