We’re just round the corner, but naturally very happy to be the guests on 3rd June 2018 during the Cultural Sunday ‘Utrecht Central’ in the Winkel van Sinkel!
During Utrecht Central Utrecht on 3rd June turns into a huge music podium on which a wide variety of musical offerings are combined with special out of the way locations in the city.
Here is the whole programme for Utrecht Central.
On this occasion the Concertzender will be broadcasting live from the Winkel van Sinkel with performances on the main stage in the main hall, interspersed with interviews with and music from guests who we’ll meet in the lounge next door.
What are we going to do?
Between 12.00 and 17.00 we’ll switch every half an hour between the main stage in the main hall of the Winkel van Sinkel and the temporarily named Concertzender Lounge.
From the Lounge every half hour we’ll broadcast a programme, which will only be locally in the lounge amplified, and will follow the format of Acoustic Roots, De Musyck Kamer and Café Zimmermann.
Our guests will talk about and play their music, complemented by current topics and interviews with other musicians.
A taster
The newly started baroque orchestra Baroque & Beyond Orchestra conducted by Tomasz Aleksander Plusa will be the opening act on the stage of the Winkel van Sinkel.
Later on this podium come Tête de la Musique, an unusual wind ensemble, and ud player Haytham Safia with U’Duet, a mix of classical Arabic, Blues, Balkan and Jazz.
In de Lounge we’ll be meeting among others the 22-year old singer songwriter Géonne Hartman.
