Concertzender Live | Zefiro and Collegium Musicum Den Haag
In Concertzender Live on Thursday 27th August at 20:00 we continue our recordings of the Utrecht Early Music Festival 2014 with the concert by Alfredo Bernardini's Zefiro. We also have a recording from series Musica Antica da Camera for you – by Collegium Musicum Den Haag.
During the Utrecht Early Music Festival 2014 the oboist Alfredo Bernardini's wind ensemble Zefiro played a programme called 'The Master, the Student and the Newcomer'. In this concert they compared the music for one or two oboists, strings and continuo from master Fux with that of his Bohemian student Zelenka and newcomer Antonín Reichenauer.
Baroque music from London
On 21st May 2015 there was a concert in the Paleiskerk in Den Haag as part of The Hague early music series Musica Antica da Camera. The Baroque orchestra Collegium Musicum Den Haag conducted by harpsichordist Claudio Ribeiro played the programme 'London: meeting point for 18th century composers'.
The musicians played works by composers who were working in 18th century London, such as Johann Christian Bach, Johann Christian Schickhardt, Johann Christian Pepusch, Giuseppe Sammartini and of course Georg Friedrich Händel.
Collegium Musicum Den Haag can shortly be heard live: they will be making their debut at the Utrecht Early Music Festival 2015! On Wednesday 2nd September at 17:00 they'll be playing music by De Fesch and Hellendael, Dutch composers who were also working in London.
