Early Music Festival 2016 in Concertzender Live
In Concertzender Live on Thursday 13th April two concert recordings from the Early Music Festival 2016: Concerto Soave with the Argentinian soprano Maria Cristina Kiehr and the Russian ‘artist in residence’ Olga Pashchenko.
The Argentinian soprano Maria Cristina Kiehr sings together with instrumentalists from ensemble Concerto Soave led by the French harpischordist Jean-Marc Aymes Venetian repertoire with sacred and profane themes.
As well as solo motets by Monteverdi, Cavalli, Tarditi and Grandi you can hear the magnificent Serenata by Barbara Strozzi.
The young Russian piano virtuoso Olga Pashchenko played three concerts in the main programme of the festival, and daily accompanied the music for the Eventalks.
At the end of the Early Music Festival she played in the Leeuwenbergh concertos by Vivaldi andMarcello arranged by Bach , because he was aware of the current musical fashions, in particular the virtuoso and colourful Italian style.
