On Friday 21st August at 14.00 we'll be making another recording in the Pieterskerk in Utrecht of a new episode of the Musyck Kamer! Our guests : The Continuo Company, singer/lutenist Jonatan Alvarado and gamba player Freek Borstlap.
The Musyck Kamer, our live programme with musicians from the world of early music, is open again and you can be there!
Guests
The young Dutch ensemble The Continuo Company conducted by lutenist Arjen Verhage will be playing excerpts from their programme "Copyright" (also to be heard on 20 August in the Grachtenfestival). Together with violinist Jacek Kurzydło, a rising talent in early music, The Continuo Company will be sampling the enormous amount of music provided by the Amsterdams music publisher Estienne Roger .
Singer and lutenist Jonatan Alvarado will be playing a number of Fringeconcerts on 6th September in Utrecht (as part of the Early Music Festival 2015 and the Uitfeest). Jonatan Alvarado will be singing songs from 17th century Peru with a spiritual flavour, accompanying himself on the lute. He'll be letting us hear a few tasters.
Finally we'll be welcoming gamba player Freek Borstlap; he'll be playing solo works for the viola da gamba and be telling us about the exciting future plans for his gambagroup The Spirit of Gambo .
Attendance
The recording will take place on Friday 21st August 2015, 14.00 – 15.00 in the Dekenkapel of the Pieterskerk in Utrecht. The Dekenkapel is open from 13.30 .
The recording is free for you to attend, also for visitors to the Pieterskerk as part of Kerken Kijken. Reservation is not necessary.
The Musyck Kamer will be broadcast on Monday 31st August 2015, 19.00 – 20.00 .
