The presentation of the new audiobook by Govert Jan Bach about Bach's Weihnachtsoratorium and Magnificat takes place on Sunday 1 November in the bookshop Scheltema in Amsterdam.
Govert Jan Bach is responsible for Bach Ad Infinitum and the presentation includes live performances for the next episode of Café Zimmermann.
This is the third audiobook by Govert Jan Bach following his previous audiobooks about Bach's St. Matthew Passion and St. John Passion.
The presentation takes place on Sunday 1 November 2015 at 16:00 on the 4th floor of the new Scheltema bookshop at Rokin 9 in Amsterdam.
The first copy will be presented to Margriet Vroomans (who presents the programme De Ochtend van 4 on Radio 4) and the presentation will be opened by the premiere performance by the Jonge Strijkers Amsterdam led by Sven Huyens.
The countertenor David Cohen will also singe two aria's from the Weihnachtsoratorium.
The presentation will end with a reception and a signing session.
The performances will be recorded for the next broadcast of Café Zimmermann, our programme with live performances of Bach music. This programme will be broadcast on Friday 20 November from 13.00 to 14.00 CET.
