AMERICAN HIGHWAYS #04: Knoxville, Tennessee
Growing up in the American South, I had an ambivalent relationship to my hometown. Knoxville Tennessee had natural beauty, mountains, and a small-town feel, but a lot of people just know it as an interchange on the highway.

In this episode of American Highways, pianist Guy Livingston brings us his bittersweet memories of Knoxville, crossroads to the south, and speaks of nostalgia, travel, and running away in search of perspective.
