Worm Hoorspel #4: The Blind Owl.
Vandaag het laatste van vier hoorspelen door Radio Worm voor de Concertzender gemaakt. Deel 4: The blind owl.
‘The Blind Owl’ is een klassieker, hoewel het in Nederland een tamelijk obscuur gebleven boek is. Te omschrijven als ‘Existentialistische Psycho Horror’. Hedayat was een Perzische schrijver die oa. bij Sartre studeerde in de jaren veertig. In 1951 pleegde hij zelfmoord. Zonde.
Het hoorspel is een tamelijk vrije bewerking van een aantal sleutelscènes uit het boek, waarbij -behalve natuurlijk een aantal tekstpassages- vooral de sfeer & de vorm van het boek een inspiratiebron waren.
